The Silvey Family: Catching up on Growing up!

My baby girl is getting so big! Erik and I are finally "almost" settled in our new home and life is getting back to normal after the wedding, honeymoon, and everything we've done this summer. We've all been so busy. Mialyn is such a character! She is getting so big, and it seems like she never stops growing. She is learning more and more words, and discovering so many new things. She is still loving ALL food. She LOVES LOVES LOVES Cheese Puffs. I have to make her "deals" that if she eats good at lunch/dinner she can have some cheetos:) lol! I cannot believe in a couple weeks she is going to be 16 months old! In no time she is going to be 2! Can you believe it? She is so sweet and so sensitive. She is definitely ALL girl. She is a loner, and loves playing by herself. She gets so scared of other kids her age. We are working with her on that, and thinking about joining a Mommy and Me class. She actually took well to her new little friend Josalyn at Erik's grandma's 80th birthday the other day (picture below) and we were so proud of her! Her hair is growing wildly and it is so curly in the back. I love it! I can almost get it in a pony tail! She LOVES Dora and The Very Hungry Caterpillar. She seriously could read TVHC ALL DAY LONG! She loves the page where he eats EVERYYTHING and then gets a stomach ache! She can point to anything you ask her. She runs around the house like crazy pointing at her pictures and saying "my my" :) We are in the process of redoing her bedroom and converting her crib to a "big girl bed." We ordered her bedding from Pottery Barn and we are doing the Morgan Quilted Bedding with the vintage Barbie sheets. She loves being "girly" and giving all her dolls and animals hugs. She can make animal noises when you ask her and she is learning to say names as well. We've been playing outside all summer and she loves going down the BIG slides at the playground in our neighborhood all by herself (With Daddy at the top, and Mommy at the bottom to catch her lol). She LOVES shoes! (That's my girl.) She is a big fan of driving her car around and she loves playing with balls and throwing them to us! She LOVES when we scare her and run around the house hiding around corners. She laughs so hard! She is the apple of our eye and our little angel! She is GROWING UP SOOOOO FAST... See for yourself:)

Today I had a day off of school because my teacher's had to do Epic training at the hospital which I have to attend on Friday, so Mialyn and I have spent this day outside:) She loves popsicles, and water! She loves her swing set and loves "barking" with the dogs next door, and enjoys telling them "no no no" and pointing her finger:) She is such a sweetie and she is the love of our lives:)
